Young soloists at the Kluskapelle

On 11 May 2019 young soloists from the Zakhar Bron School of Music presented a program of Bach, Vivaldi, Prokofiev, Rachmaninov and other famous composers in the Kluskapelle in Zürich.

Sixteen young violinists, pianists and cellists took part in the concert. This time our musicians presented not only solo pieces, but also chamber music repertoire. For example, the violin duo with Sophie Branson and Moe Zürcher performed the Passacaglia by G.F. Händel; the string trio with Valda Sabella, Alexandra and Efraim Taub played the Concerto for Two Violins by A. Vivaldi; the duo with Nina Gringolts (violin) and Benjamin Branson (cello) interpreted the baroque Ricercata Nr. 3 by G.V. Platti.

The audience was treated to many other famous pieces, such as the Romance by Rachmaninov, the Concerto No. 2 by Wieniawski or the Flight of the Bumble Bee by Rimsky-Korsakov. The audience was impressed by the high level of our students, after every performance we heard enthusiastic applause and encouraging “Bravo!”

The concert was attended by more than a hundred music lovers. For the first time our young students were accompanied by the new ZBSM piano teacher Christophe Berruex.
