Students
At present at the ZBSM there are around 60 students from different cantons of Switzerland. They study violin, cello and piano
Sophie Branson was born in Tokyo in 2006 in the family of a British mathematician and a violinist from Russia. From age four she is studying in the violin studio of Liana Tretiakova at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich, Switzerland.

Ilva was born in 2007 in Zurich. She is currently a second year student at the Kunst und Sport Gymnasium Rämibühl in Zurich. Ilva began playing the violin at the age of three and a half and since 2011 studies with Liana Tretiakova at the Zakhar Bron School of Music.

Nina was born in 2008 into a family of musicians in Zurich. She became a student of Liana Tretiakova at the ZBSM in 2013. Nina is a prize winner of the international competition "Premio di Padova" 2018 (Italy) and winner of the Swiss Youth Music Competition 2019 Entrada and Finale (with distinction) in the chamber music category.

Alexandra Taub was born in Zurich in 2008 into a musical family stretching back three generations. She studies violin at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich under Liana Tretiakova, having begun there at the age of five. She studies the piano as well.

Moe was born in 2004 in Aarau. She joined ZBSM in 2015 as a student of Nadezhda Korshakova and has been a student of Liana Tretiakova since 2016. Moe is the winner of the Aargau Competition 2018 and the Swiss Youth Music Competition 2019 Entrada (with distinction) and Finale in the category chamber music.

Marc was born in 2003 into a music-loving family. He joined the violin studio of Liana Tretiakova at the ZBSM in 2016. Marc has participated in master classes given by Prof. Zakhar Bron, Prof. Tatiana Samouil, Prof. Sergey Ostrovsky, Prof. Boris Garlitsky, Sayaka Shoij and Prof. Klaidi Sahatci in Zurich, at the Zakhar Bron Academy in Interlaken and at the Menton Festival.

Nikita was born in 2009 in Wales (UK) into a Swiss-Russian family of historians. He entered the Zakhar Bron School of Music at the age of eight as a student of Inna Khriplovich and studies currently with Liana Tretiakova and Inna Khriplovich. Nikita is a first prize winner of several national and international music competitions.

Emanuel was born in 2006 in Switzerland into a music loving family. He started learning to play violin at the age of six with his grandmother and joined the studio of Liana Tretiakova at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in 2020.

Vlada was born in 2010 in the USA. She became a student of Liana Tretiakova at the ZBSM in 2016. In 2019 Vlada won the Swiss Youth Music Competition Entrada and Finale (with distinction) in the chamber music category, as part of the string trio with Alexandra and Ephraim Taub.

Eva was born in 2010 in Odessa (Ukraine). At the age of seven she completed the two-year piano program at the Stolyarsky School of Music in Odessa.

Anna’s first experiences with music began when she was only four and a half years old. At the age of six Anna was accepted into the studio of Romaine Bolinger at the Zakhar Bron School of Music.

Lena Lisa was born in 2011 in Italy into a family with Swiss and Italian roots. Lena Lisa has won three international competitions. She is currently studying at the ZBSM, since 2019 in the violin studio of Inna Khriplovich and since 2020 in the piano studio of Christophe Berruex.

Tatjana was born in 2012 in Zurich into a family of academics. She began her violin lessons with Inna Khriplovich at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in 2019.

Kimia Corke was born in 2011 and lives in Geneva. She joined the studio of Liana Tretiakova at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in 2021. Kimia won two 1st prizes with distinction at the Swiss Youth National Music Competition 2021 in both the Entrada and the Finale.

Elia began his violin studies in August 2017 with Romaine Bolinger at the ZBSM. In November 2017 Elia gave his first concert at the d’Insle Montessori School in Zurich.

Award-winning young cellist Lyam Chenaux was born in 2009 in Lausanne into a family of musicians: his mother plays cello and flute and his grandmother – piano and organ. He started playing cello at the age of five and joined the studio of Professor Denis Severin at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in 2021.

Benjamin Branson began his cello lessons at the age of 5. He is currently studying at the Zakhar Bron School of Music at the studio of Payam Taghadossi and taking regular master-classes with Claire Oppert in Paris.

Ephraim Evgeny Taub was born in Zurich in 2010 into a musical family stretching back three generations. He began studying the cello at the age of six and is now a pupil of Payam Taghadossi at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich.

Viktoria was born in 2007 in Zollikon into a family of academics. She began her piano studies at the Zakhar Bron School of Music at the age of eight.

Katya was born in 2009 in Zurich into a musical family. She began her musical studies at the age of five. In 2019 Katya won the Swiss Youth Music Competition Entrada, received the second prize at the SYMC Finale and the first prize at the Zurich Music Competition.

Mila was born in 2009 in Zurich. Since 2017 Mila has been studying piano at the ZBSM with Rafael Lipstein. She has performed at the school's open concerts at the Musikraum Anixis, the Villa Boveri (Baden) and the Dreilinden Conservatory (Lucerne).
