Children and teenagers aged 5 to 20 years.
Musically gifted children usually start their studies very early (at 5-6 years old). Advanced students are welcome to join the School at any time.

For every student we offer an individual program, corresponding to the needs of the child. A student’s workload is to be defined for a semester and cannot be changed during a semester. However there is always a possibility to switch between the programs and to change duration and/or number of classes per week from the beginning of the next semester.

We offer three options of individual lessons: basic, advanced and professional.

1. Basic:

Is especially good for beginners, also possible for continuing students who do not wish to take an intensive course.

1 individual lesson per week:

  • 30 min: CHF 60.-
  • 45 min: CHF 90.-
  • 60 min: CHF 110.-
  • 90 min: CHF 170.-


  • 1-3 school concerts per year
  • Music theory, group class once a week
  • Musical grade exams (by the Zurich Music Schools Union)
  • Chamber music coaching upon request

2. Advanced:

This is a program for gifted children who are willing to dedicate more time to music. It is recommended for those students whose parents do not have an opportunity to help with practicing at home.

2 individual lessons per week:

  • 30 min: CHF 55.-
  • 45 min: CHF 80.-
  • 60 min: CHF 100.-
  • 90 min: CHF 155.-


  • Participation in the masterclasses organized by the School
  • Open concerts in Switzerland organized by the School
  • Music theory (group lesson) once a week
  • Chamber music coaching (on demand)
  • Musical grade exams (by the Zurich Music Schools Union)

Students of this program, who practice at home consistently, make good progress and perform regularly at the open concerts of the School, receive a scholarship in the form of the reduced price of the tuition.

3. Professional (can be assigned by the School administration only):

This program was established for the students who are planning to continue their education in the music gymnasium or secondary school and are preparing for the entrance examinations into music universities in the future or just want to achieve a very high level in music.

2-4 individual lessons per week:

  • 60 min: CHF 90.-
  • 90 min: CHF 140.-

Highly recommended:

  • 10-15 concerts per year (organised by the school)
  • Participation in all masterclasses, organized by the School
  • Participation in the masterclasses of the Zakhar Bron Academy (upon agreement with the Academy)
  • Music theory (group class) once a week
  • Participation in competitions (upon agreement with the School)
  • Performances at international festivals in Switzerland and abroad

Students of the Advanced Program receive a scholarship in the form of the reduced price of the tuition and also a scholarship for participation in the masterclasses, organised by the School during the academic year and during the holidays.

Group Lessons

Music Theory:

Music theory is one of the most important disciplines in music education. It helps children to develop musical memory, sense of pitch and rhythm, creative thinking and gives them the tools for improvisation and composition. It gives students the theoretical knowledge which allows them to understand and enjoy music on a different level.

1 lesson per week (45 min)

Group lesson for music theory 45 min: CHF 30.-

Ensemble and Chamber Music:

Making music together brings children joy and also opportunities to use their new abilities in practice, to share musical experiences, learn from each other and make friends.

Group lesson for ensemble or chamber music (2-4 children) 60 min CHF 45.- or CHF 35.-
