Instruments
At the Zakhar Bron School of Music we teach violin, viola, cello, piano and harp to 4-18 year old students. All instrument lessons are taught individually – one-to-one. We also teach music theory and music history – as optional disciplines. These two subjects are taught in groups of 3-5 students.
Programs
Depending on the number and duration of lessons, the following tuition programs are available: basic (up to 60 minutes a week), advanced (starting with 2×45-minute lessons a week) and professional (starting with 3×60-minute lessons a week, can be assigned by the school administration only).
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees are fixed for a semester and depend on the number and duration of lessons taken per week. The tuition fees for the 2024/2025 academic school year are (CHF per month/semester):

The tuition fees can be paid either per semester or monthly.
Music Theory & Music History
The optional (yet highly recommended for advanced and professional program students) music theory and music history lessons take place once a week as 45-minute group lessons. The tuition fee for either the music theory or music history is 660 CHF/semester (or 115 CHF/month).
Tiny Tunes: Introduction to Music
For our youngest classical music enthusiasts (ages 3 to 5), we offer a special course called Tiny Tunes. These are group lessons lasting 30 minutes, held once a week. The cost of these lessons is 460 CHF/semester. A minimum of three students is required per group.
Extra Lessons & Piano Accompaniment
Extra lessons can be provided during a semester, if requested by a student to better prepare for a competition or a concert for example. These are charged at a fixed hourly rate of 120 CHF/h. Piano accompaniment shall be provided by the School to the string students when preparing for the concerts, competitions etc at a fixed rate of 90 CHF/h.

How to Apply
To apply for tuition at the Zakhar Bron School of Music, please contact us first to arrange a 30-minute trial lesson (the trial lesson fee is 60 CHF). Following the lesson, you will receive the School rules and an application form. After submitting the application form, you will be accepted to the school.
