Tatiana Samoylova

Graduate of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, Tatiana Samoylova has been a successful piano teacher for over 30 years. Many of her students have won prizes at international competitions and entered music institutions of higher learning in Switzerland and EU.

Tatiana began her journey in the beautiful world of music at the age of five. She told her parents she wanted to be a pianist and asked them to take her to the best music school in Saint-Petersburg, her native city which is called the cultural capital of Russia for a reason. Thinking it would be just a temporary thing, her parents nonetheless fulfilled the request.

The ‘temporary thing’ however turned out to be the true calling. After ten years at the city school of music, Tatiana entered the St. Petersburg State Conservatory which she graduated with the Master of Arts diploma in Music Performance & Music Pedagogy. After the graduation Tatiana has given several solo concerts in Russia, EU and Switzerland. She also worked as a piano accompanist at the world famous Mariinsky Theatre.

Deep inside however she has always known that her true vocation is teaching. Having finally realized it, she decided to focus on teaching children to play the piano and has been doing this for over 30 years. Today Tatiana works with students of all levels and all ages, however when it comes to teaching the very young ones, she is at her best.

Apart from providing tuition on a very high level, Tatiana has a natural gift for establishing emotional connection with her students – and treats them affection and love. This unique combination makes her lessons a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience – whether she teaches sound production and articulation, reading music, rhythm or interpretation and style.

Tatiana joined the Zakhar Bron School of Music in winter of 2022. She teaches in German, English and Russian. In her spare time she likes to travel, read books and attend classical music concerts.
