Anica Vieru

The winner of national and international violin competitions in Europe and beyond, Anica Vieru graduated from the Geneva University of Music with the Master of Arts diploma in Music Pedagogy. She joined the ZBSM in 2022 as a violin teacher and assistant to the school founder Liana Tretiakova.

Known for her exceptional teaching talent and ability to help her students achieve outstanding results, Anica was warmly welcomed to the loving family of the Zakhar Bron School of Music in summer of 2022. Extremely attentive to the details, very strict and yet charming and super charismatic, she provides violin tuition to both beginners and advanced students. Chosen for deep understanding of fundamentals of teaching violin, she also assists the school co-founder and leading violin teacher Liana Tretiakova with some of her advanced students.

Anica’s violin talent was noticed and acknowledged on an international level way back in her youth. She is one of the very few people who received the ‘Master of Talents’ scholarship of the CRT Foundation (Italy) as well as a scholarship of the De Sono Foundation (Italy). Participation in numerous national and international competitions resulted in receiving prestigious prizes, such as:

  • 1st prize at the ‘International Competition for Young Talents’ (San Bartolomeo al Mare, Italy, 2016)
  • Grand Prix at the ‘Tadini International Competition’, chamber music (Lovere, Italy, 2016)
  • Public audience prize at the ‘Walter Baldasso’ national competition (Torino, Italy, 2016)
  • 1st prize at the ‘Premio Francesco Geminiani’ international competition (Verona, Italy, 2012)
  • 1st prize at the ‘Antonio Salieri’ international competition (Legnago, Italy, 2011)
  • 1st prize at the ‘Luigi Zanuccoli’ international competition (Rimini, Italy, 2011)
  • Special prize for best performing at the ‘Premio dell’arte’ national competition (Naples, Italy, 2011)
  • Grand-Prix at the ‘Gianluca Campochiaro’ international competition (Pedara, Italy, 2009)

Alumna of Sergey Ostrovsky, Violin Professor at the Geneva University of Music, Anica has played as an orchestra violinist and as a soloist in several countries in Europe. She is wholeheartedly devoted to teaching violin and truly believes it’s her vocation, which is one of the reasons why she joined the Zakhar Bron School of Music.
