Introducing harp lessons in Zurich

Professional harp tuition will be available at the Zakhar Bron School of Music from the beginning of the next academic school year.

A virtuoso harpist and one of the most demanded harp teachers in the world today, Alexander Boldachev, together with his partner Polina Skryabina – a founder of the Harp Summer Academy and a scholarship holder of the Stiftung Lyra (CH) and the Marguerite Meister Stiftung (CH) – are joining the Zakhar Bron School of Music as a harp department.

The harp tuition will be available from the beginning of the next school year for all children and adolescents starting with the age of four or eight – for the Celtic harp and grand concert harp respectively (in the process one can move from the Celtic harp to the concert harp). Both Alexander and Polina teach using their own methodology, which is based on the Russian and European harp schools, as well as their experience in working with hundreds of students all over the world.

The tuition program includes studying technical aspects of playing a harp, harp repertoire, training programs, pieces of classical chamber music and even harp arrangements of classical and contemporary pop-rock music. Advanced program students will be prepared for entering institutions of higher learning and further professional career.

To apply for harp tuition, a trial lesson is required (free of charge). To arrange the trial lesson, please contact the school administration.
