Five top prizes at the «Nouvelles Étoiles» competition

Five students from the Zakhar Bron School of Music won five prizes in different categories at the Paris «Nouvelles Étoiles» (New Stars) competition, which was held online this time at the end of June due to Covid 19 restrictions.

  • Lena-Lisa Rosa (violin, age 8) won 1st prize in the violin solo category, up to 8 years old
  • Nikita Koller (violin, 10) won 2nd prize in the violin solo category, up to 11 years old
  • Sophie Branson (violin, 14) won 2nd prize in the violin solo category, up to 17 years old
  • The duo of Lena-Lisa Rosa (violin, 8.) and her brother Raffael Rosa (piano, 13) won 2nd prize in the chamber music category, up to age 17
  • Benjamin Branson (cello, 11) won 3rd prize in the cello solo category, up to age 11

In addition to the prestigious first and second prizes, respectively, our violin students Lena-Lisa Rosa and Sophie Branson each received a special prize – an invitation to perform with the Bright Bows Orchestra in Novosibirsk, Russia.
