Timmy Luocheng Wang was born in Zurich in 2014. Timmy grew up in a musical family and began playing the violin at the age of four. Since September 2019, Timmy has been studying at the Zakhar Bron School of Music with Inna Khriplovich.

In 2023, Timmy achieved the first distinction at the Vatelot Rampal International Competition in Paris and won 1st Prize with distinction at the Zürich Music Competition. Timmy currently plays a violin that was generously loaned to him by the luthier Peter Greiner, this historical violin used to belong to young Yehudi Menuhin.
