Ephraim Taub

Ephraim Taub was born in Zurich in 2010 into the family of a Russian-born violinist and a Swiss-American neurosurgeon. At the ZBSM he studies cello with Matthieu Gutbub. In 2019 Ephraim won the Swiss Youth Music Competition Entrada and Finale (with distinction) in the chamber music category, as part of a trio with his sister Alexandra and Vlada Sabella.

In December 2019 and March 2020 Ephraim took part in the ZBSM master class of the famous cello pedagogue Claire Oppert in Zurich. Ephraim regularly travels to her studio in Paris to continue his studies.

Ephraim speaks Russian, German, English, and some Hebrew. His favorite hobby is football.
