Sophie Branson

Sophie was born in 2006 in Tokyo. She studies at the studio of Liana Tretiakova at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich since 2010

Sophie is a prizewinner of the Crescendo International Competition in Geneva (2015) and the 1st prize winner of the Premio di Padova International Competition in Italy (2017). She regularly participates in the Masterclasses of Prof. Zakhar Bron in Interlaken, Berlin and Salzburg Academy.

In summers 2016 and 2017 Sophie took part in the Zakhar Bron School of Music Masterclasses at the Menton Music Festival, where she had an opportunity to take lessons with Professor Bron, Maxim Vengerov and Sergei Ostrovsky. Sophie also had an honor to perform Vivaldi Concerto for two violins a-moll together with Alexandra Soumm.

In 2017 Sophie performed as a soloist with the chamber orchestra Soloists of Neuchatel in Geneva under the baton of Sergei Ostrovsky and participated in the Zakhar Bron School of Music tour to Siberia, where she performed Vitali Chaconne with the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestras of Omsk and Novosibirsk.

In spring 2018 Sophie made her Moscow debut at the Gala Concert of the Spivakov Foundation and participated in the World Premier of Daniel Schnyder’s Concerto Grosso iGeneration at the Transsiberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk alongside Vadim Repin.
