Aurora Gächter

In 2010, at the age of 4, Aurora began her violin studies at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich with Liana Tretiakova. Aurora is a prizewinner of the Swiss National Youth Music Competition as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In December 2014 Aurora participated in the Finals of the program “Great Swiss Talents” on National Television (SRF).

In Mai 2015 Aurora became a prizewinner at the International Crescendo Competition in Geneva and performed Vitali Chaconne with the Soloists of Neuchatel Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Sergei Ostrovsky.

In summer 2016 Aurora became a prizewinner at the Crescendo Competition in Florence (Italy) and participated in the Zakhar Bron School of Music Masterclass in Menton, where she had the honor to perform Bach Double Violin Concerto with Sergei Ostrovsky. In October 2016 Aurora has performed in Riga (Latvia) and appeared as a soloist with the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra in Tashkent, performing Fantasie and Appassionate by Vieuxtemps.

Highlights of 2017 include the concert tour to Siberia, organized by the Zakhar Bron School of Music, where Aurora performed Havanaise and Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Saint Saens with Omsk and Novosibirsk Chamber Orchestras and the debut on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater within the frame of the International Festival “Moscow meets friends”.

In 2018 Aurora became a winner of the Swiss National Youth Music Competition in both Entrada and Finale stages.
