At the beginning of May the finals of the Swiss Youth Music Competition 2018 took place in Zurich. The best placed students from the regional Entradas of mid-March were invited, among them our students Ilva Eigus and Aurora Gächter. Both received first prize again.

 
For her interpretation of the first movement of Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto in B minor and the Gavotte from J.S. Bach’s Third Partita, Ilva received a first prize with distinction – as one of three soloists in her age category. She also had the honour of participating in the prizewinners’ concert.
 

 
Aurora received first prize for her performance of the Sarabande from Bach’s 2nd Partita and the 3rd movement of the Violin Concerto in G minor by Max Bruch. Both students were also invited to the master class.
