Sophie Branson debuts in Bolshoi Theatre

On 3 October, Sophie Branson, a student of the Zakhar Bron School of Music (studio of Liana Tretiakova), had the honor of participating in the gala concert of the festival, which took place in the legendary Bolshoi Theatre.

At the invitation of the Spivakov Foundation, young musicians from all over the world met in Moscow from 1 to 12 October. This year the international festival “Moscow Meets Friends” celebrates its 15th anniversary. For the Zakhar Bron School of Music it is the third year of cooperation with this prestigious event for young soloists. The performances of the festival take place in the best concert halls of Moscow.

On 3 October, Sophie Branson, a student of the Zakhar Bron School of Music (studio of Liana Tretiakova), had the honor of participating in the gala concert of the festival, which took place in the legendary Bolshoi Theatre. Sophie performed the virtuoso Spanish Dance by Manuel de Falla in duet with the fantastic pianist Sviatoslav Khitev, professor at the famous Gnessin Music Institute. The audience received the concert with great enthusiasm and hardly let the performers leave the stage.

The school will continue its cooperation with the Spivakov Foundation in November when young musicians from Russia will perform together with ZBSM students in two concerts: at the Kulturhaus Helferei on 9 November and at Villa Boveri on 11 November 2018.
