2 ZBSM Violinists Win Prizes at Premio di Padova 2018 International Competition in Italy — With Video

Two students of the Zakhar Bron School of Music (studio of Liana Tretiakova), Nina Gringolts and Marc Senn, won prizes at the Premio di Padova International Competition, which took place in Padova (Italy), from 11th until 17th of June 2018.

It was Nina Gringolts’ (10) first experience of participating at an International Competition. Nina performed Bach’s Concerto in A minor with elegance and ease. In her performance she showed an understanding of the Baroque style, which is unusual for such a young child. It was appreciated by the jury and Nina was awarded a well deserved second prize.

Marc Senn (14) joined the studio of Liana Tretiakova only 2 years ago. In a short space of time he made very fast progress through intensive lessons, motivated practicing, participating in the School’s Masterclasses in Zurich and Menton (France) and performing regularly at the School’s concerts. At the Premio di Padova Competition Marc confidently performed the virtuosic Symphonie Espagnole by Lalo and received a third prize.
