Ilva Eigus Performs in Florence and Rome

Congratulations to Ilva Eigus, a seven year old student of Liana Tretiakova, for receiving the 1st prize “with distinction” and the Miglior Violinista award (across all age categories) at the music competition “Premio Crescendo” in Florence.

This honorable award allowed Ilva to have her stage debut at the historical Palazzo Vecchio in Florence on June 23rd, 2015, and to have two further performances in Italy during the concert season of 2015/2016 on the invitation of the Agimus Firenze concert agency.

On September 25th, 2015, Ilva took part in a charity concert supporting medical students in Africa in the Aula Magna of the University La Sapienza in Rome, performing the first movement of Kabalevsky’s violin concerto. The concert was part of the series “Musica alla Sapienza” and was supported by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

On May 29th 2016, Ilva made a debut appearance in the Aula Magna of the Ospedale di Careggi in Florence, where she presented a program encompassing three different styles: baroque (Bach’s violin concerto in E major, 1st movement), romantic (Legend by Wieniawski) and modern (three preludes by Shostakovich). The concert was a big success and was warmly received by the Italian audience.
