Daniel Hope gave ZBSM students the first masterclass

Daniel Hope, alumnus of Professor Bron, artistic director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and one of the most creative and accomplished violinists in the world, gave the first masterclass to our students in the premises of the ZKO Haus on Tuesday, February 25th.

All participants of the event were amazed by Daniel’s musicianship and artistry, combined with a deep knowledge of the violin technique and a rare ability to communicate it to the students. It was one of the absolute highlights of our school year and we truly hope for the continuation of this collaboration. We had been preparing for this event for almost a year, and it was totally worth it!

Last year violin masterclasses to the Zakhar Bron School of Music students were given by other famous alumni of the Professor: legendary Maxim Vengerov and brilliant Latica Honda-Rosenberg. We are very happy that this year Daniel Hope, despite his high workload and tight concert schedule, found the time to share the secrets of playing violin and performing on stage with our most advanced violinists.

We are very grateful to Professor Bron personally and to his world-famous graduates who support our school. It’s a unique opportunity and a great honour for us to receive masterclasses from the greatest violinists of our time!
