Two 1st prizes with distinction won at the Aargau Music Competition

Our violin students Emil Spiess and Lena-Lisa Rosa won two first prizes with distinction in different age categories at the Aargau Music Competition which took place earlier in November this year.

The 1st prize with distinction was just won by our violin student Emil Spiess (12 y.o., studio of Liana Tretiakova) who also achieved the highest number of scores (60/60) in all categories in the Aargau Music Competition 2021. He played the first movement of the Spanish Symphony by Lalo, and Gavotte from the Violin Partita No.3 in E major, BWV 1006, by Bach.

Another 1st prize with distinction – in the junior group – was won by a young violinist Lena-Lisa Rosa (10 y.o., studio of Inna Khriplovich) who achieved 59 points out of 60. She played Chaconne for Violin & Piano by Vitali, and the Swan by Saint-Saëns.

Following the outstanding performance of Emil, he was granted the honour to close the Prize-Winners’ Concert that will take place on Sunday, December 05. Heartfelt congratulations to the winners, their teachers and their parents!
