Summer Violin Masterclass with Esther Hoppe, Liana Tretiakova & Inna Khriplovich

We warmly invite young violinists from around the world to take part in our upcoming Violin Masterclass, where they will have the unique opportunity to learn from three outstanding teachers: Esther Hoppe, Liana Tretiakova, and Inna Khriplovich. This masterclass is designed for motivated students who wish to deepen their skills, gain inspiration, and receive expert guidance from internationally renowned soloists and teachers. The masterclass will conclude with a festive gala concert, where all participants will have the opportunity to showcase their achievements.

Esther Hoppe: The Swiss violinist Esther Hoppe is amongst the most interesting artists of her generation. Highly acclaimed by the press for her beautiful tone, her exceptional stylistic assurance and her sensitive yet virtuosic performances she always lets her stupendous technique serve the purest music making.

After studying in Basel (Musik-Akademie Basel), Philadelphia (Curtis Institute of Music), London (Guildhall School of Music and Drama) and Zürich (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) she went on to win 1st Prize at the 8th International Mozart Competition Salzburg. Soon after she founded the Tecchler Trio with whom she concertized intensively until 2011. The trio won several first prizes at important competitions, such as 1st prize at the ARD-competition in Munich in 2007.

Since 2013 Esther Hoppe is professor for violin at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. She leads an exciting concert calendar and performs as a soloist with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Münchener Kammerorchester, Orchestre Les Siècles Paris, Kammerorchester Basel, Zürcher Kammerorchester amongst others, and her chamber music partners include Clemens and Veronika Hagen, Nicolas Altstaedt, Vilde Frang, Heinz Holliger, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Alexander Lonquich, Christian Poltéra and Ronald Brautigam.Esther Hoppe is a regular guest at festivals such as Lockenhaus, Ernen, Luzern, Gstaad, Delft, Prussia Cove, Styriarte etc.

Liana Tretiakova, the lead violin teacher at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich

Liana Tretiakova: The founder and lead violin teacher of the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich, Liana is known as one of the finest violin teachers of her generation in the world today. Having worked as a teaching assistant of the legendary Professor Bron for 15 years, Liana – also as the Professor’s alumna and his successor – continues the unique teaching methodology of one of the greatest violin teachers in music history.

Having more than a quarter-century of teaching experience under her belt, Liana is equally comfortable in working with the beginners and highly advanced students, and she can guide them from the violin basics to solo performances in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe and Asia. Over the years, her violin students have won almost a hundred prizes at various Swiss national and international music competitions.

As alumna and successor of Professor Bron, Liana sees her vocation in continuing the Professor’s life work – preparing the next generation of violin soloists and bringing professional violin education closer to all young violin students, everywhere. She regularly conducts violin masterclasses in Switzerland, China, and across the European Union.

Inna Khriplovich, violin teacher at the Zakhar Bron Music School

Inna Khriplovich: Inna has been teaching violin at the Zakhar Bron School of Music in Zurich since 2014. Since then, many of her students have won prizes at competitions such as the Swiss National Youth Music Competition, the Grumiaux International Competition in Brussels, and the Prodige Competition in Paris, to name a few.

Her violin students have participated in the Stage4Kids International Festival in Hamburg and the Lucerne Festival Children’s Concert and have performed as soloists with chamber and symphony orchestras in Switzerland, UK, France and Russia. Since 2021, Inna has also been on the faculty of the Ming Classics Summer Festival and Academy in Switzerland.
